Unfit People Leave
I find it unfair, and somehow cruel, and so fucking depressing that as we grow older, the less wholesome we become.
The love we have left within us is so broken and diminished that we might never truly, fully, hopelessly, devotedly love the next person.
For once, I would just want someone who would ditch everything just to be with me.
Just the two of us, against the universe.
And nobody will ever love me the way I love them.
— Blue ink, from the past.
But unfit people leave.
Worthy people stay.
You learn to give like a force of nature. Not because they deserve it. Not because it will come back. But because everyone — and I mean everyone, even the worst, most self-centered, emotionally stunted person you know — knows just how giving, loving, endearing, and amazing you are.
Do no harm.
Let the empty hands stay empty.
